Nottingham Forest 4-2 Ipswich Town: Player Ratings

A good win against a struggling Ipswich side means Forest maintain their strong hold on third place. Here's how Forest's players did:

Starting Lineup

Matz Sels

Didn't have too much to do apart from on the two Ipswich goals. The second one seemed out of his reach but the first one, he certainly felt like he could get a hand too, and it didn't seem to be traveling too fast. He flapped at a corner in the first half but was generally untroubled.
Rating: 6

Ola Aina

Another sturdy and full of running as ever.
Rating: 7

Nikola Milenkovic

As solid as ever and a well-taken goal which set Forest on their way. I barely notice him during the game. A rock - what a signing.
Rating: 8

Murillo

Had a couple of wobbly moments in possession but mostly looked his assured self.
Rating: 7
Attempts to dribble the ball into the opposition net from his own half: 0, sadly

Neco Williams

Still looks a bit like a deer that's found itself on a frozen pond sometimes. Gave away a needless free kick in the opening minutes as Forest were looking to establish . Always a willing running going forward.
Rating: 7

Elliot Anderson

Always industrious. He's by no means the finished article but the constant probing and drive to do stuff is a big part of the team's success.
Rating: 8

Nico Dominguez

Given the job of sitting and holding which allowed Anderson and Gibbs-White the license to roam forward when they wanted. He also shaded over to the right flank out of possession to help protect Aina, which, in turn left Elanga free to roam. Got booked and then subbed quickly afterwards after mouthing off at the ref a bit much.
Rating: 7

Anthony Elanga

Given more license to roam across the front line - sometimes playing alongside Wood, sometimes out on the right, sometimes combining with Hudson-Odoi. His finishing for both goals were very smooth. After struggling in the first half of the season, it looks like his confidence is back just in time for Forest's push for European qualification.
Rating: 9

Morgan Gibbs-White

Had a few trademark through-balls and calmly laid on the assist for Jota Silva's goal. Will have felt hard done by at being lef out of Tuchel's first England squad. If he keeps plyaing like this, it can't be long before he gets his chance.
Rating: 8

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Not as influential as Elanga or Gibbs-White but still looked a threat on the left.
Rating: 7

Chris Wood

Seems like he's gone off the boil recently, though the way every shot he took was going in earlier this season probably wasn't sustainable. Always a willing runner, worked hard out of possession. Had a couple of decent chances but didn't connect with either the way he would've hoped.
Rating: 6

Substitutes

Ryan Yates

Looked decent! Had a couple of nice touches and did well to launch the counter attack that led to Forest's fourth. Played 24 minutes and didn't foul anyone.
Rating: 7
Ryan Yates Fouls: 0

Morato

Didn't really do much other than occupy space in the backline after Nuno switched to shutdown mode.
Rating: 6

Jota Silva

Took his goal well. It's great that Forest have an impactful player coming off the bench.
Rating: 7

Taiwo Awoniyi

Held it up well. Had.a couple helpful passes as Forest tried to kill the game off.
Rating: 7

Danilo

Didn't play long enough to do much.
